Mike Apele - REALTOR®
Mike Apele was born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii. After graduating from the University of Hawaii, Mike took a job in hotel management and he spent the next few years traveling between the Hawaiian islands to work on furthering the popularity of each of the resort properties that were a part of the hotel chain he was employed by. He was later "found" by a local talent agency and offered a job starring in the Hawaii Tourism Bureau marketing campaign of the 1960's. His face could be found on everything from C&H sugar packets, to full-size posters, and even TV commercials. He was later recruited to be one of the very first male flight attendants in an effort by United Airlines to feature "Hawaiian boys" on flights from the mainland to Hawaii. A few years later, Mike befriended a local businessman who was flying in first-class back home to Hawaii. This newfound friend taught him how to build a successful marketing company and Mike went on to enjoy great success through the 70's, 80's, 90's and early 2000's. In 2001, Mike's wife, Denise, was diagnosed with a degenerative liver disease and they were forced to move to Spokane, WA to be closer to the medical facilities that Denise needed for treatment of her disease and an eventual liver transplant. Shortly after his wife's successful liver transplant, Mike retired and began coaching basketball at St George's School in north Spokane. It was at this time that he was approached by his son, Bo, about becoming a licensed Realtor® and joining the Spokane Real Estate company, The Ohana Realty Group, which Bo had founded years earlier. Mike quickly became one of the top agents in the company and he's maintained his top-ranking production ever since. Mike brings years of life-experience, a hard work-ethic, a strong moral compass, and the "Aloha Spirit" to his real estate business and he's well-known throughout Eastern Washington as the "Friendly Hawaiian Guy" that seems to know everyone in town. Unlike many of his peers, Mike does not believe in the "hard-sell" or pushing his clients, just so he can make a sale. Instead, Mike believes in "coming from contribution" and providing you with all the information you need to make the right decision for you and your family, because he knows that if you're happy with his services, you'll tell all your friends and family about him. Through this mentality and his strong work-ethics and morals, Mike has become one of Spokane's best Real Estate Brokers. If you're looking for someone who will put your best interests first and hold your hand throughout the sometimes stressful experience of buying or selling a home, Mike is your man! You can contact Mike 24/7 and 365 days a year via call or text on his mobile number at (509) 230-3560.
